At this year’s London Marathon, U.K. runner Tommy Trees made history by setting a new Guinness World Record: the fastest marathon completed wearing Crocs. Trees finished in 2:48:48, beating the previous record of 2:49:21.
After several attempts at other records, including running dressed as Santa, Trees decided to take on the Crocs challenge—and it paid off. Despite dealing with major cramps late in the race, he powered through to claim the title.
Despite the struggles, Trees’ determination and a bold choice of footwear paid off—proving once again that sometimes, you’ve just got to put your Crocs in sport mode and go for it!
